Other Marian apparition.
Approved by the Bishop assigned to the area in which the events occurred.

Our Lady of Akita.

July 6    1973 – October 13, 1975.

Sr. Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa.

April 22 1984.
Bishop John Shojiro Ito.
Diocese of Nigata.

Yuzawadai, Akita, Japan.

Katsuko Sasagawa, born in 1930 to a Buddhist family, was baptized after the witness - a Christian nurse gave her water from -Our Lady of Lourdes to drink. She joined religious life and took the name Agnes.
Sr. Agnes Sasagawa had encountered many health problems for most of her life. She was born premature and, following a bad appendix operation, was immobile for over a decade. Her health reportedly improved after drinking water from Lourdes while under the care of a Catholic nun.

Sr. Agnes Sasagawa, a convert to Catholicism who suffered total deafness, BUT heard Mary’s voice extraordinarily from a 3 foot our Lady of Akita statue. received messages that are warnings to repent of the way we live our lives.
(Bishop Ito' letter explains it ALL--Attachment titled Bishop John Shojiro Ito and it is also the next topic.)
  • The Akita Angel: In 1969, Sr, Agnes’ Guardian Angel appeared while she was praying. Her angel taught her to add this prayer to each Rosary decade as she prays. The Fatima Prayer: (“O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, especially those who are most in need of your mercy.”) Sr. Agnes had never heard this prayer before, as it had not yet been translated into Japanese.

Sr. Sasagawa’s unusual spiritual experiences began in 1973 while she was still very new to the religious community.

June 12, 1973, Sr. Agnes saw brilliant mysterious rays emanate from the tabernacle and the same thing happened for the next two days.
On June 28, 1973, a cross-shaped wound appeared on the inside left hand of Sr. Agnes. It bled profusely and caused her much pain.
On July 6, Sr. Agnes heard a voice coming from the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the chapel where she was praying.
  • The Right-Hand Wound: The statue of Our Lady of Akita developed a wound in the shape of a cross on the right hand that bled. (July-6) A few of the sisters noticed drops of blood flowing from the statue's right hand. On four occasions, this act of blood flow repeated itself.
On September 29, the wound on the statue disappeared. And the sisters noticed the statue had now begun to "sweat", especially on the forehead and neck.
(Years back the Feast of The Archangels was October 24.)
September 29, is now celebrated as the Feast of The Archangel’s)
Sr. Agnes received 3 messages, the first on July 6th, August 3rd and the last message on October 13th. (All is explained-with:-Bishop John Shojiro Ito - For Our Lady of AKITA.)

Two years later on January 4, 1975, the statue of the Blessed Virgin began to weep. It continued to weep at intervals for the next 6 years and eight months. It wept on 101 occasions.
On September 28, 1981, Sr. Sasagawa's Guardian Angel explained the 101 times of the weeping of the statue of Our Lady of Akita.
"1" represents Eve (who brought sin),
"0" represents the barrier of sin,
The zero signifies the Eternal God-All eternal. And the last
"1" represents Mary (who brought salvation).

A Psalm 101 of David. A Sovereign’s Pledge of Integrity and Justice.
1 I will sing of loyalty and of justice;
    to thee, O Lord, I will sing.
2 I will give heed to the way that is blameless.
    Oh when wilt thou come to me?
    I will walk with integrity of heart
    within my house;
3 I will not set before my eyes
    anything that is base.
    I hate the work of those who fall away;
    it shall not cleave to me.
4 Perverseness of heart shall be far from me;
    I will know nothing of evil.
5 Him who slanders his neighbor secretly
    I will destroy.
    The man of haughty looks and arrogant heart
    I will not endure.
6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land,
    that they may dwell with me;
    he who walks in the way that is blameless
    shall minster to me.
7 No man who practices deceit
    shall dwell in my house;
    no man who utters lies
    shall continue in my presence.
8 Morning by morning I will destroy
    all the wicked in the land,
    cutting off all the evildoers
    from the city of the Lord.

  • On May 1, 1976, the statue of Akita wept for the first time in front of a gathered crowd. It was the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker and a First Saturday (the day of the week Our Lady of Fatima requested for communal reparation).
  • During Fatima's Miracle of the Sun, St. Joseph also appeared to the children to bless the world.

P.S: Please continue to read the letter of Bishop John Shojiro Ito. Everything is explained to Perfect Understanding.
