It is the worship (adoration due to God alone) given to Jesus Christ truly present Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, in the Blessed Sacrament. (The Eucharist-in this case is under the appearance of Bread in the Consecrated Host).
- Adoration takes place either when the Church reserves our Eucharistic Lord Jesus in the Tabernacle, or
- When a Priest exposes the consecrated Host in a Monstrance outside of Mass.
The Eucharist: Also called Holy-Communion - The Blessed Sacrament.
The Monstrance: The vessel used in the Church to exhibit the Consecrated Eucharistic Host during Eucharistic Adoration or Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Benediction: Where the Priest will raise the Monstrance and bless the faithful gathered with the Blessed Sacrament, making the Sign of the Cross over us. Then we the congregation recite the Divine Praises.
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel: It involves silent prayer. Perpetual adoration is the continuous, day-and-night adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
When growing up, I heard, hymns that were sung from the heart, the feeling was deep and we knew we were singing praises to God. The whole church congregation would sing. Now only the cantors sing. Back then, God had our whole attention and especially more so with Eucharistic Adoration.
These days having music played-organ based you will hear pop-samba beats to the hymn. This reeks irreverence to God especially at Eucharistic Adoration.
When in love, and you meet the one you love, with the heart so full, you want to dance being in the arms of the one you love, but you definitely don’t want samba music or how else will you rest into each other.
That is what meeting with God should be. That music, that feeling of awe that brings in reverence and the desire to tell God how much I missed being in His presence, and now that I am here with Him, I am rested, safe and secure in His arms.
How do I get to this feeling.
I get there with the first feeling of singing to Him a love song – filled with reverence at Eucharistic Adoration and that which is meant for a moment like this.
Samba music-Pop music is party time music. It does not signify reverence.
Good Behaviour - in Church and Eucharistic Adoration.
- It is most important to switch one's cell off during mass and when seated in Eucharistic Adoration.
- Having prayers on cell, means being enticed to check for messages and attend to calls while seated in the Church or at Eucharistic Adoration. It is wrong.
- Try not to sit cross legged at Church or at Eucharistic Adoration. Remember in Whose presence you are.
Lack of reverence means lack of love. Remember this accounts to lack of reverence to God.
Race in prayers, are meaningless words. God is in no hurry, for He is Patience Eternal. But we hurry God to listen to the words we bring forth in prayer to God. Imagine this kind of absurd behaviour!
Summary: When we pray, we have a helper— the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our advocate and intercessor.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words. Romans 8:26
We pray to the Father.
We cannot truly pray without the Holy Spirit’s assistance.
Through Jesus Christ, we have access to the Father by the Holy Spirit.
1Corinthians 6:19 - 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God?
Therefore, how we behave, think and speak, and what we let into this temple-(our body) through our eyes and ears becomes most important for every thought, word and deed is in His view. “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit” means live in a way that honours God, avoiding sin. Living in obedience, love, and holiness.
Being a temple of God means, living a holy life that reflects our reverence to God.
St. Paul the Apostle pleaded with the Lord to take away his “thorn in the flesh,” only to be told
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness,
for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
In my weakness God does not abandon me. When I am weak-tired or down and out, whatever the condition I may be in, God is the One-Who surrounds me from all sides and holds me in the palm of His Hand-keeping me safe. God is my Strength, my Refuge and my Shield.
We don’t know what Paul’s ‘thorn in the flesh was’. But each one of us knows, sometimes the pain mental or physical is unbearable and if it is for a long time, it takes us down. Grace then, is what keeps us floating no matter the circumstance.
In my weakness, God is my defining moment.
CONCLUSION:
If God changed His plans only after we pray. that would make God look uncertain and unreliable. And we know that is not the truth.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
God is Constant. And God is Faithful. When God promised us a Redeemer, He sent His Only Son to Die that we may have Eternal Life in Him. Nothing of the human nature in 2000 years stopped God from keeping His Promise.
God does not change. God is RELIABLE and JUST.
He knows our circumstances, He knows we will pray and He knows before we pray, what we are asking and how deeply troubled we are. And God answers us before we pray. For He knows all our thoughts, our weakness’. He knows our prayers. Nothing about us surprises Him.
For His Breath – is the LIFE in us. We are not a mystery to Him. God knows us inside out.
To sum up, His answer is always before our prayer. The healing was always there, before the sickness came. But God desires for us, to grow in Him.
Trials will come, the greater the faith, the greater the trial.
However, troubled your life is, when you call on God, He will come for He hears your cry, for when you truly seek Him, you will find Him.
God is Humble, it is God-Who comes to You. God is our Relief-our Medicine.
And Gods answer will come not a minute before and not one second late.
Other than mass, if you’ve never sat before the Eucharistic Lord in Adoration, then begin with 10 minutes and whatever is the time you can be, in the presence of the Lord. You may come with a heaviness, in heart but when you leave you will feel lighter. And if you don’t feel this way when you leave, no worries, but do watch yourself as the day goes by. And no matter what you feel or don’t, there will be that urge to visit Jesus again. This is Jesus calling you.
No matter what your sickness, no matter what your conflict, come and sit with Jesus.
If I could ask you one thing, it would be, to come and sit with Jesus. Whatever your stage of sickness, it could be the last day or last week given to you by the doctors BUT on-the day, you begin with Jesus, your illness will not proceed from that point on. Persevere in your belief in Jesus. Don’t give up. Because when facing the Cross-Jesus never ever gave up on us. BELIEVE!
Each day as you come, place your cause before Jesus and ask with your whole heart for what it is you seek. Don't be shy, don't hold back.
Give Jesus your whole hour. Remember you are given that invitation to be with the King of Kings. And when you are seated before God, you will never go empty. Because our God is generous and Abundant in His Ways of giving.
Healing and Blessings are yours to take. For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37
I believe that a child should be like their father, don’t you think. God is generous and abundantly giving and we have to be likewise.
When you come to pray for yourself pray for others too. God loves a cheerful giver.
A Prayer With Love is so much more-A Whole Wide World of Treasures.

Prayer for the souls in PURGATORY:- Our Lord dictated this prayer to St. Gertrude the Great to release 1,000 Souls from Purgatory each time it is said.
"Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen."
