Homily: And therefore if I go back to that line, we offer the best to God and God offers the best to us.
Jesus was the best gift that God gave each and every one of us. And as Disciples of Jesus in the world, participating in The Eucharist, we also offer the best that we have because we know we will receive the Best. The best of our talents, the best of our lives, significantly the many miracles that we can draw in our lives, through forgiveness, through love of our neighbor and especially our enemies. The readiness to follow the commandments of God, all this significantly is our offering, and when we offer the Best, we get the Best in return.
The more and more we participate in The Eucharist, we are strengthened and nourished by The Body and Blood of Jesus, our Lord and our Saviour.
