We pray the ROSARY...

The Rosary begins with a family coming together to pray. The strength in the unity of that family, comes through the tremendous power of the Rosary. The trend these days is to  pray solo or groups in the Church. Everybody wants to run away from their family, discarding one another is not the way, to praying the Rosary. Rosary begins at home and then the love proceeds outward. Alas! this part is diminishing.
The family that prays together stays together.

Prayers must be said meaningfully and it cannot be a race to the finish. Every word has a deep meaning and a greater significance. Oh! how close we can get to God, if we only understand what we pray.

The Hail Mary is such a beautiful prayer. We run through it not emphasizing and then failing to understand. The Angel called MARY, FULL OF GRACE AND BLESSED AMONG WOMEN. Mary is the Mother of Jesus Christ and consequently Mother of God. There is no one like MARY!
To Jesus through Mary!

Archbishop Fulton Sheen said, "The power of the rosary is beyond description."
You want a miracle, Pray the Rosary! Miracles happen!

The Rosary is 150 "Hail Marys" representing the 150 psalms.

Reasons why the rosary should be prayed often, even daily
  • "How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening" (Pope John Paul II).
  • "There is no surer means of calling down God's blessings upon the family . . . than the daily recitation of the Rosary" (Pope Pius XII).
  • "My impression is that Our Lady wanted to give ordinary people, who might not know how to pray, this simple method of getting closer to God" (Sister Lucia, one of the seers of Fátima).
  • St. Louis de Montfort "the Rosary is a priceless treasure inspired by God."
  • "Say the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world" (Our Lady of Fátima).
  • "The Rosary is a magnificent and universal prayer for the needs of the Church, the nations and the entire world" (Pope John XXIII).
  • "No one can live continually in sin and continue to say the Rosary: either they will give up sin or they will give up the Rosary" (Bishop Hugh Doyle).
  • "The Rosary is the compendium of the entire Gospel" (Pope Paul VI quoting Pope Pius XII).
