Absolute power corrupts absolutely! People crave for that materialistic power and are lured into believing it to be more than what it is. When we want power we fall to sin. Adam and Eve wanted more; they disobeyed God and lost Paradise.
As humans, we change with time. Every man with money tells one eternal lie that he has not changed. But money gives you that notion that you can buy almost anything. And then pride the mother of all sins casts herself to be part of that person. And this person is blind to reality and completely blind to every ones version of life other than his own and his kind. Even his talks of God-will be his version of it and people who are swayed with his power adopt his policy to life. He is blinded by power and people who follow him are even blinder than him.
Of all the wonderful things in the world, the most wonderful is the one when we come with reverence to God.

It is always good to enter a Church with a feeling of sacredness - the silence it brings is a sense of awakening that ‘God is in the House’.
We can’t treat the Church, like any other place in the world. Think about it would you like for your home to be treated as a park or a restaurant? Home is a connection to the heart-a term of endearment.
When one comes to Church one must leave the everyday world behind. This is a place where God has chosen to be – HE is - so that we can come to Him. We need a quiet time to enter into the sacred mysteries of the Mass. Listening to the chatter of others in the Church does at time stop us from our spiritual connect with God. When we come in awe, we tell God, by our behaviour, that we know ‘You’ are here. In silence, our faith grows.
The decline in faith, is the result of our behaviour in the Church.
Silence has to be maintained at all times in the Church. It is the HOUSE OF GOD! Where there is silence, there is a total Reverence. Where there is reverence, there is love.

If we did the will of God we would treat everything of God with reverence. Failure to comply is failure to understand Who God is and how we must come in behaviour with our Creator.
Mobile cells have to be silent or switched off. Period! God must always be our top priority. Everything else comes later. HE deserves our utmost. He deserves our all. He is my ALL!
The priest gives the final blessing and dismisses us, “Go forth, the Mass is ended.” There are some who want to pray having just received Jesus in the Eucharist. And the people who talk causing disturbance are doing a damaging thing.
During Eucharistic Adoration there must be no sale inside the Church or a Chapel. Now that could be religious items such as the Rosary, the Cross or prayer books or novenas. In the presence of Jesus there can be no usage of money to buy. I have seen announcements made for the sale during the Eucharistic Adoration and people told to get up and make the purchase during the Eucharistic Adoration.

Purgatory is too much agony and avoidable. COME in reverence to God!
I yearn for silence in the Church. We all should.
If you happen to talk a lot, I know it’s a hard habit to stop. But we should quiet our mind after all it is the House of God. This is a God given time. Let’s choose to speak to God who waits for our presence.

Silence and God
And once you have found Jesus, like Peter, you say, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life; and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God." John 6:68-69
It is what unites us as a community — the Body of Christ. "Come, follow me," He says. He invites everyone to His table, the celebration of the Mass. But before we partake, we must answer: “But who do you say that I am?” Luke 9:20.
We reply, "You are Jesus Christ, the Son of God."

Let me share with you two of the passages that I came across from St. Faustina's:
I got up much earlier than usual and went to the chapel, steeping myself in the love of God. Before receiving Holy Communion, I silently renewed my religious vows. After Holy Communion, the infinite love of God swept over me. My soul was in communion with the Holy Spirit, who is the same Lord as the Father and the Son. His breath filled my soul with such delight that it would be useless for me to try to give even a faint idea of what my heart experienced.
A look at this passage: Faustina wakes up very early. Prior to receiving the Eucharist, she enters into silence. After receiving the Body of Christ, she goes into a kind of ecstasy. She wants to write about the experience but realizes silence would say much more than words.
Another passage, from St. Faustina:
The tongue is a small member, but it does big things. A religious who does not keep silence will never attain holiness; that is, she will never become a saint. Let her not delude herself — unless it is the Spirit of God who is speaking through her, for then she must not keep silent. But, in order to hear the voice of God, one has to have silence in one's soul and to keep silence; not a gloomy silence; that is to say, recollection in God. To speak and not be heard. What irreparable damage is done by the breach of silence!

Don't be afraid of silence. God's voice is experienced in silence.
Silence is Gold and Love is Eternal. The seeds of love and silence need to be planted and nurtured each day.

“Be still and know that I am God,” Psalm 46:10.
And a huge storm arose. The Apostles were afraid for their lives. They looked for Jesus to help them and found Him fast asleep from exhaustion. They were terrified because of the storm and woke Jesus up. Jesus rebuked the wind and said, “Peace, Be Still!” There was a great calm.
How often do we ask God for things, but we don’t stop to listen or to be still? To be still and quiet becomes a challenge in our hectic world.
When something in life hits us, we need to be like Jesus, no matter what the exhaustion may be, what we need to do is have that supreme confidence that God our Father watches over us. Things may go upside down but the storm around us must not affect our faith in God. Don’t hit the PANIC button. Remember God is in control.
We have to not give into our fearful and anxious thoughts. We have to learn to shut them, just as Jesus calmed the sea. Jesus immediately asked the question to His disciples, "Why are you afraid? Have you no faith?" And they were filled with awe, and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey him?" Mark 4:40-41 When filled with fearful and anxious thoughts that rage within like a violent storm, do as Jesus did. Silence those thoughts by saying, “Peace, be still.” When you need strength, let go and rest in God, “Be still and know that I am God.”
The meaning is to not move, to be quiet to stop striving, to let go, surrender. God is our refuge.
Peace! Be still! Mark 4:39
Jesus was exhausted and overwhelmed. He requested to go to the other side by boat to get away from the crowds that were coming to Him.And a huge storm arose. The Apostles were afraid for their lives. They looked for Jesus to help them and found Him fast asleep from exhaustion. They were terrified because of the storm and woke Jesus up. Sometimes the unknown can frighten us. Remember when we were little and our first day to school, then when we grew up and our first day at work. A new relationship, a new place, a new city - all things that make us anxious and when we get used to it we wonder why we were so terrified.
Fear begins in our head and it grows into different shapes and sizes and it has different names. Fear is what the devil very smartly holds us to.
The message in the Bible - ‘Do not be afraid’ ‘Be not afraid’.
- When we face difficulties in life it would seem as if we were being tossed upon a stormy sea. When stuck and in trouble, we find ourselves surrounded on all sides. How can one be still when a storm rages around? In the times of a storm recognize the power of God.
- The struggle is essential. I as a person, come to realize the strength of God in my times of struggle. In my weakness He becomes my strength. He shows how I must come to rely on Him counting nothing on myself but relying totally on Him for my sustenance. When we are able to hear the still small voice of God's Spirit as He guides us through our trials we learn to change our thoughts, we are more able to feel God's Love and Peace because we are in harmony with Him. We come to rely on Him.
- To be calm means that the storm is no longer within. The storms may still rage, but we are no longer worried or troubled by the effects. When we rely on God’s strength there could be concerns but His strength will make us strong. Fear diminishes as God grows within.
- When trials-conflicts come, when we cast our burdens on the Lord, and wait upon Him, we will find comfort. He will bind our broken hearts.
- When we learn to be still-it allows us to communicate with Abba Father, it allows Abba Father to communicate with us. It is when we allow ourselves to rest in God that our heart can focus on those things that are of the greatest importance. God wants to talk to us, but we have to be ready and available to listen to Him.
- The Sun does not rise nor does it set. When the morning comes, it is the Earth that faces the Sun. The darkness of night comes when the Earth turns away. It is the same with us. When we face our trials, with the grace of God, we are filled with light to overcome the darkness and the storms of life.
- When our mind and spirit are still, we are at Peace. We are never alone and never forgotten. He will come to us. All it takes is for us to be still.
- When we come to Church in silence, we acknowledge that He is God and that we come in reverence. We come in an understanding and belief that He watches over us.
When you come to revere in silence, you will understand fear is a manipulation that the devil uses to keep a hold.
The FEARS-the need to be seen, to be heard, to be noticed, to be appreciated, to belong to all groups so as to hog the limelight in the Church. To want to be known by all-To want to be spoken by all-To do charity and let everyone know of how charitable one really is. These are fears.
Our greatest need to be loved. Jesus is the answer.
Please BELIEVE! God is always watching over us.
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me
He watches me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches
I know He watches
I know He watches me.
