Finish Strong

Martin Luther King, Jr. was an amercian-clergyman and prominent leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. These lines are taken from his last speech before he was assassinated. Here Martin Luther King Jr. states:
“I just want to do God's will. And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the promised-land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised-land. So I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm, not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord."
It was a difficult time for Martin Luther King Jr. and he was also aware of the attempt that would be made on his life. Yet he spoke of wanting to do God’s will. He felt no fear. And there was this tremendous belief in God, and he knew, that God would deliver.

Often, people allow the opinions of others to hold them back and water down their dreams. We have to realize, there will always be critics in life. One of the most important things you can learn is that other people don’t have to believe in you, or set limits in order for your dreams to come to pass.  When God puts a promise in your heart, it’s up to you to bring it to pass. You have to follow the voice of God for yourself and allow Him to order your steps.
Friend, God sees the hidden treasures inside of you. He wants to bring those treasures out and make your dreams a reality. Get rid of the old, defeated thoughts. There are no limits to what God can do. There are endless possibilities to a God of Impossibles.
What if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?  Romans 3:3

We all have times when our plans don't work out. It's easy to get frustrated and fight against everything that doesn't go our way. There is something called divine interruption where God, on purpose, will delay us to protect us. On purpose, He will close a door because it's not His best. Sometimes, God will allow us to be inconvenienced so we can help someone else in need. We have to be willing to press through difficulty so we can be at the right place at the right time.
The next time you're interrupted or inconvenienced, don't start thinking, "This is a pain." No, get a new perspective. Look for what God wants to do. Trust God today because He is directing your steps.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Oftentimes, when we have a dream in our heart, we start off strong. We are so excited! But along the way, we hit some roadblocks and encounter some adversity. Many times, people will just give up and take the easy way out. But we have to remember, it’s not how we start that counts; it’s how we finish. I’m encouraging you to have the determination to go all the way through. Don’t stop at the halfway mark just because times are tough. Don’t quit because you don’t see anything happening. The scripture tells us not to walk by sight, but to walk by faith
...Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24

REMEMBER: Friends, today, if there’s a dream in your heart, something you’re believing for — a relationship to turn around, a business opportunity or to overcome an addiction — keep pursuing it! Run your race to win the prize! Don’t settle until you see the fullness of what God has placed in your heart. As you stand strong in your faith, I believe God will pour out His favour and blessing upon you, and you will see the victory God has in store for you!
