Christ Wounds - Part 1

We watch as the world suffers the atrocities committed towards the lesser privileged people. There is a wickedness that begins in ones own family and then spreads to the world. If ones home is not a haven, then the world outside could just be a hell.
Sometimes, we sit in silence-incapable of any feeling at all.
Bitterness makes one incapable of seeing the hurt in others because one fails to see the anger within. Violence has its way in anger. But of course the person fails to see the wrong in their doing and they fail to reason because of their impairment in judgement.
When there is violence and hatred in a family, they are aware that there is a God, but they are unwilling to forgive. It is not for a lack of knowledge of God. It is a lack of the will to love and in love-forgive. Holding onto anger increases the resentment and hostility towards every member of the family. Unreasonable behaviour becomes the agenda in this kind of setup.
There is a lack of respect for people. And as such, what is within the heart paves its way into the world.

It is difficult to love when you are hurt. But know this, that every wound of Jesus, tells the greatest story of the deepest love.
As Christians, when one of our brothers or sisters is suffering, we are called to become co-sufferers in Christ. If we loved one another the way God expects of us, this would be clearly a HEAVEN!

When you feel bitter or you feel that life isn't going the way you expect it to, look at the Cross, look at The wounds of Jesus and recognize that Jesus sacrificed Himself to death on a Cross to redeem us.
At that moment of our woundedness, we can truly enter the wounds of Christ and contemplate the Love in His heart for us? We can truly love only with the love of God. We can love with the love of Christ. If we only look to Christ, we will understand suffering, when we fail to understand, we fail to love.

When you do not forgive, whoever caused you hurt, your prayers no matter how deep they are, will never reach the heart of God. When you truly forgive, you will never experience bitterness, anger or hatred. These qualities block your path to God.
THE COMMANDMENT: Mark 12:30-31 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
REASONS: When you fail to love your neighbour, you do not love God. This then is an act of disobedience-a violation of the commandment of love. And the other sins would be the acts of anger, hatred, bitterness...
Living this everyday of ones life, is not living in the valley of God.
God is LOVE!

As Christians, we are to follows Jesus.
Luke 9:23 And he said to all, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
When we speak about The Cross we immediately think of suffering. Suffering is seldom something we desire to embrace. In suffering,
Do not become frustrated.
Do not become impatient.
Be at PEACE!
Peace is the knowing, that Jesus is with us in the Storm. Our Peace is not situation or person specified. It is always.
It is so very important to understand that all frustrations, all our pain, all the torments, betrayals, injustices done to us, in our daily life are not just opportunities to touch the Wounds of Jesus, but are actual experiences, meant to allow that power of His Mercy and Love flow into us. Touch the Wounds of Jesus

“When it seems to you that your suffering exceeds your strength, contemplate My wounds.” Diary of St Faustina.

The power that flows from the Wounds of Jesus, is the power of God to forgive the sins of the world.
Luke 10:21-22: In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will. All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
The Wounds of Jesus are an important part of the Son revealing the Father to the world.
Jesus is inviting us to touch His Wounds, and in the process, revealing to us the love and mercy with Its healing, redeeming power of God.
Be willing to allow Jesus to lead us in each moment of our life, in each moment of our day? May we have the grace to find Jesus in our suffering?

Hide me, my Sweet Jesus, within Your wounds and keep me close to You!
I kiss and adore Your Holy Wounds, Blood, Water and Tears!
