Command To LOVE

And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbour as yourself. Matthew 22:38-39

Human nature is selfish, which is totally contrary to tender heartedness. Most people are insensitive to the situations of others and they do not make the effort to consider them.
Earth with its people is always in battle, we forget, our human side, ashes to ashes, dust to dust. We forget we are here today, gone tomorrow. And in the time, we are here, we forget we are answerable to God.
It is the ‘I’ factor.

The commandment (BOLD letters-above) is to love God and love others as ourselves. I am going a little bit deep, as we look into the meanings of the word, so that with the help of the Spirit of God, we will understand that this message is of extreme importance to the soul. Something that we have taken too much for granted.

What is a command?
A command – is an order.

What is a commandment?
A commandment – is a divine rule, like the ’Ten Commandments’.

When a command or a commandment is given, it is meant to be followed. One is meant to obey.
When one does not adhere (follow), to the command or commandment – it is called disobedience.
And when one does not obey, what is commanded of them, there is a penalty.
So if a rule is laid down, and one is caught not following it, then there could be a fine implemented, it could also go to imprisonment.

When one wilfully disobeys the LOVE commandment especially - You shall love your neighbour as yourself. Then one has not obeyed the first of it either. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.

When you don’t love your neighbour you don’t love GOD!
And when you hate your neighbour,
it is disobedience to the first and the second of the Love Commandment. Hate leads one to HELL!

If you don’t believe what I write... Please, read carefully.
The Gospel of St. Luke:
16:19 “There was a rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day.
16:20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Laz′arus, full of sores,
16:21 who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table; moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
16:22 The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried;
16:23 and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes, and saw Abraham far off and Laz′arus in his bosom.
16:24 And he called out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy upon me, and send Laz′arus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.’
16:25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and Laz′arus in like manner evil things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.
16:26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, in order that those who would pass from here to you may not be able, and none may cross from there to us.’
16:27 And he said, ‘Then I beg you, father, to send him to my father’s house,
16:28 for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they also come into this place of torment.’
16:29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’
16:30 And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’
16:31 He said to him, ‘If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be convinced if someone should rise from the dead.’”

The Parable consists of two men, the rich man, whose name is not mentioned in the Gospel and the poor man who is called Lazarus.
Lazarus waits outside the closed gate of the rich man’s house, seeking to eat leftovers, while the rich man feasts daily. He is dressed in the finest of clothes and Lazarus is covered with sores with the dogs licking his wounds.

‘Lazarus’ means God helps. God hears the poor cry, in silence.

When alive, the rich man enjoyed his luxury.
Now after death the rich man remembers Lazarus. In life he pretended not to see him. Tormented in Hell and watching Lazarus being carried by the angels, to Abraham’s bosom in Heaven and comforted, is no comfort at all. The rich man appeals to Abraham for help, calling him Father.
How often, do we pretend to ignore the poor like they don’t matter?
After denying the poor man the leftovers from his table, the rich man now asks Father Abraham, to send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool his tongue! The rich man, still believes, he can place orders. A classic behaviour of the rich. He has no regrets and he feels no sorrow for his wrong doings, there is no compassion in his heart.

In life the rich man had opportunities to relieve the suffering of Lazarus. There were many ways, he could have been kind. The rich man's kindness could have paved the way for his brothers to do good to others.
As long as Lazarus was outside his house, the rich man had the opportunity to help, he had the opportunity for salvation. Death changes everything. When we do not show mercy to others, then God’s mercy cannot enter our closed hearts. If I do not open the door of my heart to the poor that door stays closed even to God.
The chasm was fixed and therefore the destinies of these two men were fixed, for one Heaven and for the other endless fires of HELL.
At this point, the rich man thinks about his brothers, who risk suffering the same fate, it could be that he fears their presence with him in Hell, for the torments of the damned are increased by the presence of those who contributed to their own wickedness.

The Word of God, calls us to love God and our neighbour.
The MERCY I to others show, LORD that mercy show to me!

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. (Love commandment)
When you love the LORD your GOD, you will follow the 10 commandments, explicitly.
·      Emphasis IS: I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me. (1st of the 10)
These days there are many Christians marrying non-Christians. The problem is not the wedding. The problem is two people entering matrimony, wilfully disobeying the 1st of the 10 commandments. When they break that, they break the LOVE commandment too.
When you choose your partner to marry of another religion and you don't seek God's blessings, then truthfully speaking you don't love the Lord your God with all your heart. And when you don't, you have disobeyed. When you disobey, all the commandments are broken.
Adam and Eve disobeyed. Disobedience cost them Paradise!
When the love for God is greater, one will choose God over everything else.
When one chooses a partner in matrimony of another religion (who is set in their belief) and then one chooses that partner, wilfully over God-this is disobedience to God.

A Catholic + A non-Christian (where Each follows their own religion.)(Some cases the catholic converts or practises the other). In the case of the Catholic it is disobedience.

KEEP GOD FIRST place! Seriously broken. In the case of mixed religion, the partner is given precedence over God-the first place.
Therefore this is a serious breach of the commandments laid by GOD!
TWO gods in one home! A divided home. Who should he/she pray to? Unfaithful to God and wilful disobedience to the commandments of God.

Marriage in Catholics is a sacrament. Where there is no blessing of God, there is no life?

Disobedience cost Lucifer hell.
