As I Walk....

 

My People,

Good Morning! No man can ever fathom the heart of God.  It is infinite. We would die, maybe at best crumble to pieces if we felt that love even for a fraction of a second.

Psalm 26:2 states - Prove me, O LORD, and try me; test my heart and my mind.

The word “Hosanna” means ‘Save me’. Here is one of the paragraphs of the Praise and worship song. I love the words and somehow if you would ask me – this is my prayer.

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

 

It’s been a tough two months. I have learnt that life is beautiful when you realize that our every attempt at life must be filled with the air of humility and glad surrender to God.

We need to start living unselfish lives. It’s difficult to strive to live as Jesus did. But it is up to us how we treat others that we know deep in our hearts is the way Jesus would have treated us. We are called to love.
We need to be open to Gods instructions and humble ourselves.

To be broken means to be connected to God and know what breaks His heart and to feel the breaking in mine.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind, and love your neighbour as yourself. Luke 10:27.

Following God’s will does mean to be open and to step outside our comfort zone. 

 

 

 

After the mass, when I sit to talk with Abba Father, I never leave unless I am told. On Saturdays, after the 7:30 pm mass, as I am about to leave the Church, Abba Father will always remind me to enjoy my day?

 

I have always loved star gazing. It’s something about looking at a star filled sky that fills my heart with wonder and hope.  The childlike feeling that is accompanied with wonder and amazement that is something else.  If we could only remember and carry this feeling for the rest of our lives, we would accomplish so much.

Life is beautiful, like the colours of the rainbow. The most beautiful and amazing thing about children is that they look at everything with awe. Isn’t it amazing?

 

Everybody loves somebody at some time or the other. Love is essential our whole existence depends on it.

When you love - As husband and wife, you want to be together forever. As parents you want to watch over your children. As friends, as family members you want to reach out.

But the most we learn is when we begin to build our hearts to trust and that always happens in a relationship, when one is in love. That’s because when we love someone we learn to have faith in God and each step is taken with belief albeit we may never realize it at the time.

I’ve seen the many instances of love, and it always amazes me what one can learn from that.

Love is like the stars that twinkle at night,

and the moon that can sometimes smile so bright.

 

  

 

Day 12^th of October, 2014 - The 10:15 am mass. Fr. Ashlyn lifted the Host (The Body of Christ), all I could say to Jesus, was I missed being here with You! I longingly prayed, 'Oh Jesus, Bid me to come to You'.

 

Love Hurts deep.
Love is Passion.
Love Breaks.

Love in its truest sense is a deep ache in the heart of the one who loves. It is an ache that needs to be there for love to grow. Love hurts - it wouldn’t be love if it didn’t.

Love with a passion. Passion is nothing but deep, deep love, a love that transcends time, a love that is undefined and a love that is always forgiving even unto death.


It is not how the world sees. The Priest breaks the Host (The Body of Christ), so it can be shared with others. That’s the breaking-the breaking for love. So we have Jesus, breaking Himself everyday out of love for us. This is what I must follow, break out of love for others.

If someone hurts me-love them.
If someone backstabs me-love them.
If cheated, if wronged-love anyway.
If betrayed by the one I trust-love even more.

And when I love, I have to love with all of my heart, never keeping the wrongs they did me, but rather love like I have never been hurt by them.  Love till every broken part of my heart feels the love and only love. Love like there is no option, and like it is the only option. Love until my heart aches with wanting to love even more. Love passionately.

Love till our hearts are set on fire with for and in love.

The Priest raises the Host, and proclaims that this is the Lamb of God. We as a people respond together- ‘Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.’

 

Down the building I stay, during a week of dandiya, I have loved watching the entire community celebrate. The celebration was organized by the people, from the chawl. I have never ever witnessed such togetherness and rejoicing. I enjoyed watching them. I was thinking, if I who don’t know them am so happy watching them being happy, how much more does God in Heaven rejoice over the happiness of His children?

 

The heart must ache with an intensity to do good to others and with love.


When God breaks our heart it’s not because of something we did wrong, but to show us the love we’ve always longed for.
We don’t always understand His ways or how breaking down means being restored again.
We won’t always understand how He will use the pain to make us stronger than before.
But this I know you will experience a deep sense of Joy and Peace. You will feel contentment because you have learnt to trust God. When you do your heart becomes His residence.

 

The one person who will stand by you no matter what; The one person you can count on for a lifetime, The one person who knows you, sometimes better than you know yourself, is the same person who's been standing beside you all along.

Oh Jesus teach us to love everyone in the same way that You have loved us. Bring a change to our hearts, and let it flow through us to the people of the world so that our lives will be enkindled with the fire of love.  

 

As you walk along life’s path, don’t wonder as to what the next moment holds. Leave that thought to God. Life is full of surprises and everything works out to the best for him who believes.

We get disappointed when we miss out on certain events, or things don’t work out the way we planned or they don’t work out at all.
I have learnt when things don’t go my way - to not lose heart.

We need to never feel disappointment, because when we do we don’t trust God the way we need to. It is that clear. Too many times when I felt disappointed and saddened, I believed in God, but yet those were times I too fell short.

For the last 3 weeks, on Wednesdays, I would hurry up with all my work, and somehow make it to Mt. Carmel’s Church for the Bible Study and after reaching there, would meet up with someone or the other, who would tell me that there are no classes. No disappointment there, my immediate thought would be to attend mass. When God, wants you to be somewhere you will be. 

So I can miss my train now, things can get delayed, I might not get things to happen at that precise moment, but you know what I don’t feel saddened, and why should I? If you look closely the Sun is always shining?

Only thing, we need to change is our perception (the way we see things)? Because when you do, you will understand that the Earth rotates and so we have the sunlight for certain hours and then it is the turn of another part of the continent to see the sunlight.

The Sun never stops shining on me and you.

This is what I’m saying, you have a Dream, hold on to it, keep your gaze fixed onto Jesus. No matter what happens above, below and beyond, you remain still – you keep believing. You are unstoppable in your race and yes you will get there on God’s wings. No person has ever lost, he who has believed in God. Go ask the prophets, the Saints they echo in unison. If you could - I think we should all hear HEAVEN echo with an astounding YES from God, Yes I’m with you and everything is possible. I won’t ask for you to believe, I’ll just say, BELIEVE!

 

When God breaks my heart, it is for me to know and understand His. Oh Abba Father, for everytime your heart breaks, let mine break with yours. 

IF and When you feel your heart break, imagine God holding you close in His arms and whisper, ‘I love you this much’.

Good Morning! People often say, ‘When you love someone set them free, if they come back to you they are yours, if not they never were.’

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life;" John 6:68

 

The most deadly ache in the heart of a man is the one of never being loved. And so often in our quest to life, we forget ‘the ONE’ - who loves us above all human love. We forget!

We need to reach and hold on to people – love them because each of us is God’s representative, to each other.

If tomorrow never comes is a beautiful song. I have added a few lines of the song.

I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much you mean to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell you how I feel

If tomorrow never comes
Will you know how much I love you
Did I try in every way to show you every day
That your my only one

So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes

 

 

The most absolutely difficult thing to do is to let go.

Let go of the people we love. In whatever form of relationship, that is.

It’s not unusual to want to hold on. But the worst thing about this is we end up hurting ourselves and the ones we love. The questions, we need to ask are –

Is it worth all the hurt that will be caused due to holding on?

Do we trust God, enough?

When you love someone, your every breath is filled with a hope of a new day – a day that is a promise – to love forever after. Love goes on.

  

Search history, search Google and you won’t find a God, who will say that you are made in His likeness and image.

The humility of Jesus has no end. He waits for us in the Tabernacle.

In a Gazillion years, through the search ... Jesus loves you always! Amen.

 

Day 11^th of September, 2014 – On nearing home, I felt the flap of a wing on my head and I knew it was Archangel Raphael – it’s a second time now. The other times I know he is around is when I see the number 444. The number refers to the beginning of the chapter on Tobit in my Bible.

 

 

It’s been a while now since my mom had given me a replacement cell. It works fine with my cousin. Each time, I have to make a call it simply goes off. I stopped using my cell.

Day 19^th of September, 2014 – I sit to write for the blog, but as I try to switch the PC on, it shuts down with the same reaction, twice.

Day 20^th of September, 2014 – I press the coffee button to the machine and nothing happens. I try couple of times and nothing. I ask my friend to help me. At the press of the button it works.

Moral of the story: The enemy-the devil, has seemed to block all my paths. So for now, I lay low. I trust in God with all my heart. There is none like Him in the whole world. Nothing impossible for my God!

 

Day 22^nd of September, 2014 – On my way home from Mt. Carmel’s Church, during the fair of the Mount, I met my office manager, Neri. I wished to see him and I finally did meet him after 2 years, I met his family too. It was a wonderful moment, one I will never forget.

Day 28^th of September, 2014 – 10:15 am & 6:00 pm mass. I was so happy to hear Fr. Williams mass in the morning & the evening & also Fr. Ashlyn. I love Fr. William-my hope. Thank you, Abba, Father.

28^th August, 2014 – The most beautiful crescent moon I have ever seen.

Day 29^th of September, 2014 – After the 7:30 am mass, I went and said Hi! To Fr. Warner. Glad to see him. Thank you, Abba, Father.

30^th August, 2014 – Time goes on and I am left standing I don’t seem to be getting anywhere with the problems I am facing. Today these were my thoughts.

I reach Bandra Station and it starts pouring heavily. I’m standing there waiting 10 minutes or so. I am greeted with lovely breeze coming towards me. I enjoyed the lightning and thunder display. I loved watching the showers of rain. It was wonderful and I was telling God, that He is so perfect.

I removed my watch and earrings and packed them and my bag into a plastic bag. I stood waiting there and I heard the Spirit of God tell me to walk. I knew I would get all drenched. I walked about 2-3 minutes and there comes a rickshaw and the fellow speaks in English asking where to?

God took care of me. He made me reach home, without getting wet at all when all the while it looked like that  was the only possibility.

 

 

We often wonder what sets leaders apart from leaders with extra ordinary calibre. And in reality it’s not an extraordinary task but the little things that matter in life? The little things that we think are too much for the position that one has landed with.

When you think you are a top ranking person, you start thinking like one and you forget what it is to be like the one you were before you got the position. And so many people do that. They climb the ladder of success and it gets to their head. They forget. If you look at them you would wonder if they just walked out of Buckingham Palace.

To be approachable at all times, is a pre-requisite (requirement). Richard is a gem of a person, always approachable. The moment you require help he will walk up to you with the intention to be of help. And he lets you know that you can call on him, if you come across anything. It’s a wow factor. Tremendous ability, I say this because, rather what you must realize is, that it can’t be easy for Richard to get up and want to be of help all the time. It’s a difficult part-to be cheerful and not show ones annoyance to people, thus encouraging them and making them feel a part of the greater good-a part of the team.

We all want to belong and what a beautiful way to show that you belong is when you are encouraged to show that if there is a concern, I’m here for you.

There is no attitude, no hidden ego and that makes him an easy person to get along with.

The ability of a person to understand - recognize a person as a human being without creating barriers (differences). We all need to be this kind of person.

 

The acronym for FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. The enemy likes to keep one in his grip. When we face trials, we become burdened with worries, we get anxious and that’s where the devil will bring more troubles so that you doubt the love of God, you feel abandoned. To feel so is, being human. But don’t let anxiety feed on your fear. It’s the weapon the devil uses.

I know what it is to feel alone. When in pain, it’s not easy to see God’s way and it’s not easy to praise God.

But I’ll say this - it’s IMPORTANT to pray asking God’s help. Jesus did that on Maundy Thursday, in the garden of Gethsemane. Pray for God’s will in mind.

When we pray we have to be confident knowing Gods best for us. We need to trust Him with our lives. We need to completely surrender.

 

I am surrounded with trouble on all sides. I am not afraid. God assures us as He says, ‘Be not afraid’ & ‘Do not be afraid’, so many times in the Bible.

Jesus waits in the tabernacle, waiting to give Himself to strengthen us in our fight with the enemy-the devil. Jesus strengthens us with feeding Himself, to us in the form of the Host-The Body of Christ.

 

There is a fight for each one of us. We can all choose to stand and fight or give in and face it some other day or choose to run all our lives. But the truth of the matter is if you understood that the trials and tribulations do you good – then you would choose to stand the ground.

Each time in my life and every time still – I will choose to stand, however down and out I may feel – I cannot be lost.

1 John 4:4 states- Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world

Two weeks now, other than my two offs a Sunday and a Monday, I am unable to make it to Church. I leave home at 6:10 in the morning and reach home by 8:00-8:15 pm. Yesterday I reached home at 9:15 (27^th September, 2014). I tried making it to the Church, but was not able to. My point being, if I lose my patience then I can’t say I understand what it is to do the Will of God.

God wants me to give my best, where I am, to be doing God’s will means that if I am at work, I give it my best, at home-my best, at Church-my best, wherever I am – my best, it tells God that I rely on Him to bring my best-for His best in my life. Amen.

Two weeks back, if you would ask me what it is to be bold-I guess my answer would be different from what it is now. I will keep saying this-so please bear with me, Trials are a part of life-welcome them with open arms, because they are detrimental in shaping, moulding you the way God only knows makes you perfect in standing with Him. You shun (run away) it off, and you make the best go away. I’ll explain. For me being a Capricorn it is easy to be diplomatic, and I kind off was for a good number of years. Not intending to hurt anyone and at times trying to maintain good relationships. But being a diplomat is nothing but being a good liar.

 

I’m not asking-that you go ahead and hurt people, no I’m not saying that at all.

Truth is the only aspect that will always be a reality and it is what we always require to do.

Truth in the most dignified manner.

Truth in the time, that God allots to be spoken with.

Truth the way God defines it, never our way, only His.

I have been amidst all the lies that one can possibly deal with. And the more I wanted out, the deeper into the web of deceit I got pulled in. So if I accepted the lies, there would be no repercussions (no consequence or untoward action). But because I fought it, the more trouble was thrown on me.
 

 

The devil is manipulative, the father of all lies, arrogant, deceptive and is very treacherous.

I never gave up and I never gave in. I waited on God.

They threw everything that they possibly could, and the last thing they did, they thought would make me shudder (tremble) with fear, I felt different.

The ‘Holy Spirit’ always will let me know what I need to do. First, telling me to get up and do something.  Or I’ll feel so much power in me, that you can’t shake me off at all-that is the power of the ‘Holy Spirit’. By myself I can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13 states: I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

 

All I mean is to be honest in the face of fear. Be Bold. Have faith.

2 Corinthians 12:9 states: but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

 

St. Anthony preached to the fish and they listened. St. Francis of Assisi spoke to the birds of gratitude and they heard him.

I don’t remember who this saint is, but as a child he was asked to look after the fields, and when it was time to attend church, he would ask the birds not to do any trouble in the field till he gets back. And they would obey.

Faith, even the birds and fish obey.

You cannot be bold without faith. Faith has to be perfectly placed in God. That boldness will be the fruit of faith that knows God can and will. Only when you have that faith (equal to confidence) in God, can you be really bold.

 

When trials persist, it is always for a reason. I still have a lot to learn. But for now, what I have learned is that the more you face trials, the more you learn to rely on God. So the greater the trial, the greater the need for God and the more we believe, the greater the trials will be.

Every trial produces faith and faith needs to grow. Only with the growth of faith in God can you grow to be bold. And that boldness means you don’t rely on man for your necessities, you rely on God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the end. All power, all dominion is His.

When you rely on God totally, you will fear no man. Man can only do what God permits. And He will only permit, what is required to produce what is essential to your union with Him.

 

Be without fear, in the face of your enemies.

Be brave and upright knowing that God loves you and me.

Speak the truth, at all costs even if it leads to your death.

REMEMBER to safeguard the helpless at all times!

 

 

When you love someone deeply, you cannot wait to see them again.

Each and every day,

Each and every moment,

Every breath,

Every heartbeat,

my Love for you grows….

Every heart beat of mine belongs to You!

 

And REMEMBER, Remember that LOVE is the most important part of our lives. And tell the people you know and love, how very much you love them. Love is what keeps us strong.
