The Archangels - 29 September!

I did not realize the 29th of September as the day of The Archangels.
In my article UNFORGETTABLE Memories. . .Saturday, September 29 2012, i have failed to mention this. Apart from that, i failed to focus on the date itself. I have now learnt that i need to constantly ask God for His Opinion, His Thoughts in everything i do, no matter how small it seems. Sometimes the smallest detail makes a world of difference. I have and i am learning still...
In my mind it was always the 24th of October. If God did not pull me to the Church, on the 16th of October 2023, then this would just have skipped.
Prior to this i had written - The 181920 September PROMISES! - which a few days later on reading i felt something similar with the dates and i realized, it was-the date of posting the article. That is what God was telling me and that is what the Archangels were leading me to.
Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael! Sorry!
And NOW i KNOW...!

Thank you, Archangel Michael.
Thank you, Archangel Gabriel.
Thank you, Archangel Raphael.

The Catholic Catechism of the Catholic Church mentions the number 336. About the presence of the Angels and Archangels and the reference speaks about from infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession. And it is also mentioned that besides every believer stands an Angel as a protector and a shepherd leading them to life. So already here on Earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of the Angels and humans united by God.
The Feast of the Archangels teaches us that there are beings, who are not human but who love us deeply because they love God. And specifically, we find the mention of these 3 Archangels in the feast of today. Archangel Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, and there is special meaning in their names.
While Michael comes to us as a warrior, as a fighter against Satan. We must remember that he is the Archangel who defends us when we are battling against evil. In other words when we invoke him we know that we are protected against the evil one, because of the powers of this Archangel.
Gabriel is known as the messenger, the messenger of news. We know that Gabriel came to Mary and announced the beautiful promise that the fulfillment of the promise that God had made of a Messiah. And Mary listening to the words of Archangel Gabriel was able to give her assent to this invitation. And we also know that at the end of life he will announce the Lords coming. So that all those who listen to this call will be able to renew their lives and be prepared for the call.
The Archangel Raphael is known to be a shepherd or a healer. In other words, while we journey through life in this journey, he shepherds us, and he also brings healing.
It is very difficult to explain the very nature of Angels and Archangels. But one thing is evident that they are present in this world. And we must be grateful to God. Grateful because the presence of the Archangels reminds each and every one of us that God loves us, that God wants to protect us and heal us. And constantly wants His message to be heard by us. And the Archangels play their different roles so we too while praying will always be protected kept safe from evil that we will listen to God’s word and experience that healing because of God’s love through the Archangels. Amen.

May the Angels go with you….
Not so long back, I thought this hymn was for the departed souls.
It was my mistake, and I am very sorry for my lack of knowing
It is a beautiful hymn.

Fr. Reuben Tellis - MASS | WEDNESDAY | 29TH SEPTEMBER - 2021
In our secular world today probably the whole concept of Angels and Archangels does not really hold ground. But we Catholics have strong faith in the Bible as the Word of God. And while we go through the Bible, we find so many references to the angels and Archangels. And today specifically as we celebrate this feast of the saints, the Archangels Gabriel, Michael and Raphael. We realize that the three of them have a special ministry in Gods kingdom.
Now we know that Michael was the one who fought the war against Satan and therefore Michael is one who helps us fight against evil.
We have Gabriel, who gave Mary the message of God that she was chosen to be the mother of His Son. So therefore, Gabriel is the messenger, he carries the Word of God.
And Raphael as we know from the Book of Tobit, was a healer. And therefore Raphael, whose very word means, God heals. Raphael is the healer.
And all three of them have specific ministries along with the Archangels and the other Angels. It is such a powerful multitude of Angels and Archangels. We give praise and thanks to God. And it is for us believing in the power of the Archangels and Angels to pray to them, because they are also our intercessors, and we feel protected, we feel healed. And our ears are always open to listen to the Word of God.
During our Eucharist today, as we thank God, for these heroes of the kingdom let us pray that in so many ways we too in our own lives will reflect the virtues of the Angels as messengers of God, as healers and as those who fight against evil in His kingdom. Amen.

Fr. Reuben Tellis:
Let us pray: God our loving Father, we thank You, and we praise You, for all the blessings You showered on us. And in a special way we thank You for the gift of our Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael. And we praise You for their ministries in Your kingdom. We ask You Lord that we may draw strength from the knowledge of their ministries, that we may always be open to Your word. That we may always bring healing in the lives of others and that we may always fight temptation and the war against evil. Bless us Lord with our angels that we may always discover their presence in our lives, we make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
