When we go through a crisis,
We query: -God, why am I suffering?
We literally tell God: -You could have stopped this pain/illness?
Then we ask God: -How is this supposed to be good for me?
Finally, we blame God: -Why did you let this happen?
Who is God to me in my darkest hour? Think about it.
God is always with us, even in the most difficult of moments. It is one thing to know that. Quiet another thing to actually believe. And we need to Believe that He is with us.
And let me put it this way, irrespective of whether you believe or not, 'God won't abandon you'.
In times of trouble, God surrounds us. All He wants to hear is 3 simple words: God help me!
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
God gives us free will. No matter how you look at it, to choose what God desires, is what really counts.
Keep this in mind, God knows the way things will turn out. We only see what we can, but God sees it all the way through. Go with God!
God is LOVE!💘
Love is measured by the sacrifice it willingly makes for another. The celebration of the mass is the sacrifice (the suffering to death and the resurrection) of Jesus. Without suffering, there would be no sacrifice.
Jesus was betrayed and abandoned, whipped and nailed to a cross between two thieves.
If sacrifice had no value, Would God the Father, sacrifice His only innocent Son to a brutal death on the Cross for all humanity.
Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
God uses trials to give us opportunities to grow in our dependence of Him.
for when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10.
Paul prayed fervently for his thorn to be removed. But when God did not answer Paul’s prayer, he did not become disheartened. In his weakness Paul learned greater dependence upon God.
God knows His Plans.
God makes no mistakes.
We do not know God's plan. But trust we must, knowing fully well that HE will work out all things in His time, to HIS greater Glory!
Although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. Hebrews 5:8.
God uses suffering to work His nature into us. When we let go of our will and embrace His WILL, His glory will be revealed in us when we choose to suffer with Him!
Trials are a part of life and suffering is valued because God works it for the eternal good of those who love Him.
In suffering we learn of God’s goodness and are conformed to His image.
Keep trusting God, that God’s purposes and plans being worked out through our trials frees us from anger and allows us to forgive others.
Job 13:15, Job cries out, in the midst of his trials, 'Though He slay me, yet will I praise Him'. To speak that kind of words, only means he trusted God completely.
Encouraging words, don’t you think? And he was right. Because that is the kind of faith and trust that gets miracles happening. At the end of the Chapter on JOB, we realize that he was given twice as much as what he had to begin with. God restored his life.
Suffering with faith sets the stage for God to work His good in our lives.
In our toughest moments in life, we must hold fast to the promises of God and not lose Hope.
GOD loves us and He always has our best interests.
